Q 'n' A Strategy (Pebble Pot Praise)

Names on Pebbles
To ensure that each student gets a chance to answer the give question, a teacher can make name slips of children before the class and the same can be used throughout the session. The same can be written on small pebbles too. (Refer to the image) The teacher will randomly pick one and ask the student to answer. The same will be a surprise for them too. The teacher can keep the chits of students aside who had the chance in the class)

Reflection Strategy (ABC Summary)


    ABC Summary

In this activity, students summarize content through an ABC list of learning. Students can either use the 26 letters of the alphabet to describe a text or topic of discussion or can be asked one by one to say what have they learnt that day from a particular letter.
e.g. After the topic ‘Adaptation’
ABC Summary
From A- Adaptation, Arctic Fox, Aquatic animals, Atmosphere etc.

3-2-1 Reflection Strategy

This is a recapitulation activity. 

After the lesson, the facilitator can ask for it.

3-Mention three topics/ideas learnt/discussed 
2- Two topics/ideas that were interesting
1- One topic/idea that needs more clarification

The facilitator will come to know about the interest of the students and can work upon the remedial parts, where more clarification is needed.

Thinking Strategy (Think-Pair-Share)


THINK-PAIR-SHARE



The students will think about the given topic. Jot down the points. Share the same with the partner/team member. Give sufficient time to discuss. Strikeout the common ones, make a list of unique ideas and share with the whole class.
